Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Thursday that she’s not interested in a position in a hypothetical future Harris administration, and she doesn’t have plans to launch another presidential bid of her own.
“No and no,” Warren said during a Senate debate. “I am asking the people of Massachusetts to elect me for a six year term.”
In 2020, after her own failed presidential bid, Warren wasseen as a potential pick for a Cabinet position in the Biden administration. Reports at the time said she pitched herself as a possible Treasury secretary, though the job ultimately went to Janet Yellen.
The Cambridge Democrat is facing attorney and political newcomer John Deaton in her bid for a third term in the Senate, a race she is expected to win easily in heavily Democratic Massachusetts.
